Thanks, Russel, for your elucidation on Polish/Ukrainian immigrant stereotypes!  ;D ;D ;D

Well, to be very honest, I kinna fall into that category, too. I do drive like a maniac (but when the road is clear and empty) but not more than 110 mph because beyond that some cars cannot be controlled and instead they control you, I know my  limitations!  I do follow rules if failure to do so may cause harm or damage to property to other people with high probability. I am indeed a manly man, and left-leaning American women hate it. And certainly I do hate communism, and not a big fan of collectivism in general!

Looking forward to hanging out with singles or families alike!

Since you have been in CT and MA, I would think the attitudes towards interracial couples would be similar. But I have not paid any attention and have not heard a derogatory comment about it for many years.
As a person from outside of New England, I am always amazed at how many locals do not even travel around the region. I can't believe you have not been to NH almost by accident. A Californian or Texan makes trips that far by accident. :)
I cannot recommend any public schools in NH.
I have not met anyone from Haiti, so hopefully we will run into each other someday.

let me see Mr Russell can answer some of these questions
I was named Mr. Russell by one of our crazy Polish immigrants.
We have a Ukrainian in Grafton who is from Chicago.
They are all crazy. They drive like maniacs. They don't follow any rules. They are all manly men. And they all hate communism.

Just to give you a different perspective. For the longest time, many people worried that only single people would be moving to The Shire with the FSP. So you will find many many singles to hang out with.

I think NH has better weather than IL.

I doubt you'll find many Free Staters interested in Maine. It's a lot less free than New Hampshire, and the whole idea of the Project is to free New Hampshire. :) That said, a lot of the features you praise in NW Maine are also found in northern New Hampshire.
There are porcupines in Maine. And towns without zoning.

Freedom is an individual thing. As a cannabis user and entrepreneur, Maine is a lot more free for me. Any Maine resident 21+ can grow 6 flowering plants, have an unlimited amount of harvested product at home, and  2.5 oz while traveling. Almost any 21+ Maine resident can be a Medical Marijuana Caregiver and legally sell cannabis. There are almost 4000 mmj caregivers in Maine. Cannabis is one of the fastest growing industry in the US.  According to Arcview Market Research legal marijuana sales should more than double by 2020 and go from $7.4 billion in sales in 2016 to $20.6 billion in 2020. The legal cannabis market in Maine is projected to be $220 million in 2020.

Maine had constitutional carry before NH. Homeschool laws are slightly better in Maine.

Taxes in Maine are pretty bad. But that hasn't stopped quite a few former Free Staters from moving to Maine to take advantage of the marijuana laws, medical and recreational.

Wife & I found heaven. We tented up there for years before we purchased... Remote mountain land near Jackman Maine area. If you enjoy wilderness, nature, peace & quiet, extremely low population, extremely low taxes, low gang presence (aka gov't),etc, this may be for you too. Great area to build a camp(we did) or set out to live here full time off grid (we're going to). $500-1200 per acre. 40-200 acre lots. Some of the lots available up there are very poorly advertised. I can name a few that are merely "signs" by owners that might see 5 passers-by per week. You won't find these hidden gems on any R.E. sights or M.L.S.              We would love to see like-mindeds find heaven up there with us. We are looking for HOMESTEADERS that love the mountains. ANARCHISTS are quite welcome ! We are NOT R.E. agents. We can at least help point you in the right directions. Looking for independent, self sufficient people. Not looking for intravenously-fed Bud Light drinkers that drive $20,000 snowmobiles or $80,000 pick up trucks.              Thanks,Jeff in NH
I'm about two hours south of you.

Do you have any cleared land?
Any interest in putting up some greenhouses for cannabis this summer?

Southern NH is pretty close to Boston.

https://www.currentresults.com/Weather-Extremes/US/windiest-cities.php
Quote
The windiest city in the United States is not the one nicknamed the "Windy City". Among large cities, Chicago ranks twelfth for fastest average wind speed. America's windiest major city is Boston, where overall the wind blows two miles per hour faster than in Chicago.

Mt. Washington has wind gust records.

They should indeed cut welfare, but that probably won't happen. I don't have an issue with immigration, just the rate they are allowing it with people who don't speak French, have no job skills, and have a vastly different culture is the issue. Plus the average Syrian has an iq of around 83 so the odds of them falling in with radical Islam over assimilating to French culture seems high. Le Pen is certainly far from an ideal candidate though. Either way France is probably screwed in the long run.

I'm in Nashua, too!

Southern NH gets a little bit of wind here n' there. But, it's really nowhere near as bad as the midwest.

Thank you so much for chiming in guys, I will certainly make use of the mentioned FB group and its resources !!!

It is encouraging to see that the group of FSP supporters is voluntarily diverse, and there are single men in their 30s to potentially connect with socially, as I have no family in the US.
I am moving from the communist state of Illinois (Chicago), by the way, where I have lived for the past few years.
How windy is it in the South NH?
