The Department of Social Sciences at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) seeks candidates for an interdisciplinary position as Assistant Professor in Politics and Global Affairs beginning September 1, 2015. The successful candidate will have expertise in American politics, international affairs, and the formation and implementation of public policies, including through law. Assuming that civic education and a global knowledge base are two sides of the same coin, this position is central to developing a program on America’s role in the world and revolves around the relationship of domestic politics to foreign policy in an era of changing security demands and political crises.
Candidates must have a passion for teaching undergraduates in introductory and upper level courses. Preference is given to the candidate who is well versed in interactive learning formats, out of classroom exploration, and interdisciplinary thinking. A PhD or comparable combination of graduate credentials and a distinguished record of professional accomplishment in the relevant field is required at the time of application.
This is a full-time face-to-face faculty position at the traditional day school on the Manchester, New Hampshire campus.
